About the Award:
The San Luis Obispo County Air Pollution Control District (APCD) is implementing the Woodsmoke Reduction Program throughout San Luis Obispo County. Applicants can replace their old device with a natural gas, propane heating device, or a U.S. EPA certified wood stove or wood stove insert. Low-income applicants that can demonstrate eligibility may be eligible to receive an Enhanced Incentive amount. Applicants MUST certify that their wood burning device is used as a primary source of heat in their home and specify the annual amount of wood they burn. *** This program has been suspended until around October 2019 ***

Heat source replacement
Funding Details:
- $4,000 voucher for low-income residents that can prove income eligibility and replace a fireplace with a gas insert.
- $3,600 voucher for low-income residents that can prove income eligibility and replace a woodstove with a gas stove or insert.
- $3,000 voucher for low-income residents that can prove income eligibility and replace a fireplace or woodstove with an EPA Certified Woodstove or Woor Burning Insert.
- Values of each voucher are halved for non-low-income applicants.

As of June 2019, this program is out of funding. It is expected to be restarted in October 2019. Residents of Nipomo and Paso Robles are still eligible for funding and can apply via this link.
